With that said, the two lead performances are among the best that you're ever going to see and by the time the movie was over I was simply in love with both actresses. Yes, it's hard to make an original story these days but I think the drama of life, relationships and families that's on display here, while entertaining, really aren't anything that new. This here is a pretty good drama at best but I'm going to admit that there's really nothing here in the story that we haven't seen several times before. Let's just say that we see Adele's life from her high school days and through a period of years where her thoughts on life and relationships certainly change. There's really no point in going into great details about the plot. Blue is the Warmest Color (2013) *** 1/2 (out of 4) Controversial French film about a teenage Adele (Adele Exarchopoulos) whose life begins to change when she starts a relationship with Emma (Lea Seydoux).
